ESL FAMILY LITERACY PROGRAM

Classes: Mornings or Afternoons, M-TH
You must sign your child and yourself up for this program.

Improve your English skills so you can help your children succeed in school! Parents learn English, and children ages 3-5 learn school-readiness skills.

Parents must enroll and attend an adult ESL class when their child is in the School Readiness Class.

ESL FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION/ Project ACCESS

Offered in partnership with Diablo Valley College

Study and Become a Preschool Teacher and Work With Children!
Prepare for a career and/or higher education in Early Childhood Education. Learn Early Childhood content and prepare to transition to the ECE program at Diablo Valley College. The student must be at ESL Intermediate High level or higher.

INTRODUCTION TO HEALTH CAREERS

Prepare for a career in the medical health field. In collaboration with the Adult Secondary Education Department, ESL students prepare to enroll in Health Career programs in the Career Technical Education Department.

A class for students learning how to apply for American citizenship.

SELF-PACED DISTANCE LEARNING

Limited Space is available in Self-Paced Distance Learning
Basic computer skills are NOT necessary.

Study English and/or Citizenship at home on your computer or phone! Study at home and then meet with an ESL instructor in person for a 30-minute appointment to check your progress. Six different programs and learning levels available.

The ESL program teaches essential English skills for successful learning and living and provides a welcoming, safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. All ESL teachers are credentialed instructors. Students learn English and improve communication skills in order to achieve personal, educational, and career goals.
