Food Safety Certificate Training

Comprehensive course covers safe food handling practices and sanitation. Successfully completing the course meets the requirements of California Health & Safety Code Section 113947. Registration required at least two business days prior to start date to pick up textbook and read before class. Fee includes book and exam. Re-test $75, if taken within one year of original Mt. Diablo Adult Education test date.

Keyboarding Certification

Do you need a certificate verifying your typing speed? Typing certifications are offered at no charge in our Media Center in Room B-10 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons from 1:00-3:00 pm, and in our AJCC Career Center in Room D-4 on Wednesdays and Thursdays during drop-in hours (refer to our monthly AJCC calendar here).  Typing certification tests include one or two short practice tests and two 5-minute timed tests. Speed and accuracy results are available immediately following the tests, and certificates will be given to test-takers who achieve the required speed. Must bring a picture ID such as a California Driver's License in order to take the typing certification test.

Basic Life Support CPR Skills Session – Hybrid Class

This one hour skills session course is the 2nd component of Basic Life Support CPR. The class meets the requirement for healthcare workers. Fee includes materials and CPR card. Important: Online coursework is required BEFORE Skills Session. Proof of completion is required and must be provided to the instructor at the beginning of class. Online course fee is NOT included. Students may use on campus computers.

Google Docs, Sheets and Slides

This course provides an introduction to Windows 10 and the basic computer skills that will be used on the job. Features covered include working with the Start menu, using menus and task bar, basic word processing, and file and folder management. Learn the basics of Microsoft Word in this course. Create, edit (copy, cut, paste), format (margins, tabs, indents), save, open, and print a variety of documents.
