On Track

The On Track Program

KEEP MOVING AHEAD - NEVER QUIT

We see our Traumatic Brain Injuries as only a detour
on a journey through life that is still “On Track”

It took me years to find help like this.

I am a student in this class and we are hoping to help others learn about the On Track classes.

I enjoy being with others that have the same issues as I do.
We work on reading, math, cognition, vocabulary, history and much more, including, field trips and games in class and in the gym. The instructor and her staff are very knowledgeable about brain injuries, both ABI and TBI. The classes are in-person and online."

On Track is an educational day program through Mt. Diablo Adult Education that serves the unique needs of adults with TBI/ABI. We offer a warm and welcoming environment for those who are seeking to:

  • Relearn skills and develop new strategies
  • Find a supportive community
  • Build confidence and develop independence
  • Transition post-acute care
  • Improve cognitive skills
  • Return to paid/volunteer work
  • Socialize and support one another

We focus on the whole individual with classes that address the unique challenges for those who are rebuilding their lives after TBI/ABI.

Our goal is to assist individuals in transitioning from rehabilitation to once again becoming active and participating members of their community.

General Entrance Criteria:
  • Individuals (18 and older) who demonstrate the need and motivation for assistance and support
  • Can participate independently or with the care of an attendant
  • Able to benefit from the program
  • Meet all entrance criteria
